I had a free weekend so I went back to Dominguez Canyon to explore a bit more in the region and find better ways to get in and out of the canyon.
The old man and I came up from the bottom of Swapp Canyon this time, last time we went from the top and had to cross some private property so we cut that out coming from the bottom.
Dominguez is a fork of Swapp Canyon on the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. I rate it a 3 A II. The area below has some great exploring to be done. We found a great Native American site with a big wall of painting. The best one, to me, is the Zion outline.

Thanks for the TR, Brutus. Nicely done.

Couldn't imagine canyoneering with my old man. We probably wouldn't even make it past one rappel w/o killing each other. Did he introduce you to the activity?

He didn't. I take him and teach him everything. He got me into the outdoors but canyoneering started when I came to SUU then I got him hooked by taking him through a canyon just north of Kanab

here's a pic my dad got of the 100ft rappel
