I guess this is the best forum for this. After pondering purchase of a UTV, specifically a 50" wide version, my wife and I finally bought a used 2016 Polaris RZR 900 Trail. The Albro Lake trail was indeed a pretty good baptism. We actually bent the right side rock slider and removed a lot of paint from both of them, not to mention coating numerous rocks with HDPE from the factory skid plate (totally inadequate for this type of stuff). The Albro Lake trail is a 50" machine trail, but I doubt the FS has to worry much about vehicles larger than that as it was pretty close (read 2") clearance in a number of places. It was my first experience piloting a side by side and it wasn't any different than piloting a stiff sprung flat fender Willys Jeep, including the wheels in the air part. And the no space part. We used our regular backpack equipment on the trip. Access information should be contained in one of my previous North Willow Creek posts.

After getting home, a 2" lift, heavy duty springs, and a full 1/2" UHMW skid plate were installed. Maybe next year, a set of slightly taller tires.
