Hey y'all! Planning a Boulder Mail Trail to Death Hollow to Escalante trip the first week of June. I'm currently planning on doing a loop from the Escalante River Town Trailhead, but I was wondering which end of the BMT is your favorite. We'll have two cars, so we can do either from Boulder or from Escalante.

A few years ago, we hiked BMT & Escalante River without going down Death Hollow and loved our route - got to experience all of BMT and all of the river from Escalante to the Hwy 12 bridge. I find it hard to say which parts we liked best, as both east and west of Death Hollow had lots of great things not just on the BMT but also on the river. On the western part of the river, the canyon is much narrower and taller and has a fabulous huge alcove with Fremont art. On the eastern part of the river, the canyon is much wider and has a cool arch & bridge and Fremont structure. You can't go wrong either way!
