Is there anywhere outside the east entrance of Zion NP that I could car camp? Not sure if there is any BLM land or Forest Service land that I could pull off the road and camp on. There is an rv park but they charge $49 for a tent. I was thinking of sleeping in my car at the East Rim Trailhead since that is where I am meeting my shuttle. However I believe it is illegal to sleep in your car in a national park. Any suggestions?

I have used this website for finding locations https://freecampsites.net/#!Virgin,+UT,+United+States. We camped at the Dalton Wash area which is very nice with a beautiful view of the east side of Zion.
