Capitol Reef Natl Park, Dayhikes March 29-April 2, 2018

Nice! After overnighting upper Pleasant Creek with my wife last year, I've been itching to go back up and extend it out. I've got plans to head up there, up Tantalaus Creek to Maverick Draw, check out the arches on the Salmon, then drop down to South Draw and spend a night in upper Sheets Gulch, then out Sheets Gulch to finish. I also have plans to do that Beehive Traverse over the course of a night or two. I'm aiming to do one of those trips over Memorial Day weekend and the other about a week and a half after. Just haven't worked out which one is best to do when, logistically.

Is it worth crossing over the Pleasant creek ford (with proper 4wd or on foot I guess) and continuing further down that road. I've heard that is how you can get to the top parts of some of the slots on the Notom-Bullfrog road, but is there anything else over there, especially for someone who doesn't have a ton of rope skills or have with people with them who would rather not do that sort of thing?
