Fall! My favorite season of the year!!! I just love the colors and the cooler temps the season brings! If only the days were as long as June and the white hell didn't follow!

Took a drive about a week ago to Guardsman Pass up Big Cottonwood Canyon, then over to the Alpine loop:

Just spent the evening up at Snowbasin...the color was terrible. But the weather was nice.

I concur. I took a very long drive on Sunday, including a visit to Snowbasin looking for colors and didn't find anything to write home about. The best I saw was in the Park City and Guardsman Pass areas. Shoulda gone to the Uintas!

I stayed close to home this weekend and checked out Gentry Mountain. Exactly a year ago there was a lot of nice color but this year it's a little lackluster. The greens are fading a bit into yellows, but I have a feeling it's gonna fade to brown pretty quickly.

I'm hoping to see some better colors in the desert in the coming weeks.

I drove over the Unitas yesterday and it looks about the same. The North side was looking lots better than the South. Photos to come...
