Got offered a last-minute spot to go King Salmon fishing on the Togiak River in SW Alaska....... wasnt doing anything so I went for the week...

After getting to Dillingham, we were picked up by float plane, a cool Havilland Beaver. I have always loved the radial engine sound. A hour later we were at the river.....

Fishing started slow, the ones I went with have been going there for 12 years, so they know the spots, but we still had to hunt for the holes holding fish. After a couple days of catching only 8 to 10 pounders we finally figured things out ......

I managed these two 20 pounders, biggest the group caught was a 25 pounder.....

Great trip! Brings back memories of a steelhead fishing trip long ago. Left from Petersburg and cruised the inner passage. Hard work to hook one but then had a long fight.
