My wife & I are heading out to Barcelona in April to visit my step-son and his fiance.

We won't be backpacking (had hoped to do some Pyranees, but April is too early) but are looking for some nice dayhikes. Anybody have recommendations?

We are aware of some cool via ferrata along the Costa Brava......

I used to live in Pamplona, and one of my favorite places in Northeastern Spain was Parque Ordessa y Monte Perdido. The Ordessa valley is gorgeous, and is probably the best dayhike in the region. It can get busy on weekends, but on an April weekday, there shouldn't be too many other hikers. l'm unsure if the higher elevation trails on the cliffs will be snow-covered in April or not.

Agree with jimmy. Orders a canyon is great but I did a multi day over to France. If you drive quickly up the coast to France and the head to Gavarnie its beautiful and has what I believe is Europe’s highest waterfall but that might mean a lot of driving. Otherwise parc sant Maurici and aigestirtes has lovely lakes for dayhikes
