We're about to launch a Tee Spring campaign to sell a new limited edition Backcountry Post T Shirt design. The Tee Spring option will make it much better than previous shirts we've done for a couple of big reasons. First, you'll be able to pick between cotton, synthetic, hoodies, short sleeve, long sleeve, etc. Second, you pay Tee Spring directly and they handle and ship the order. I don't end up stuck with 20 unsold shirts afterward! :) Third, the price is good enough that we'll actually be able to fund much of the cost to operate Backcountry Post, probably for much of a year, depending on how many shirts are sold. On previous shirt sales I did them basically at cost or less and was selling them for about the same price these will cost. Just initial ball park, I imagine these will be around $12 for a cotton shirt and a bit more for synthetic and in the $20's for a hoodie.

I've come up with a design for this new shirt and I wanted to get some feedback from the community as well as a little proof reading to see if I made any mistakes. The theme here is Utah place names. Maybe a future shirt would expand into the surrounding areas, but since BCP is born in Utah, I thought it was a good place too start.

Here is the proposed design. Feel free to critique and suggest improvements and definitely tell me if you see any typos, etc. And be sure to tell us in the poll above if you'd buy one. Click on it to see it larger.

It would be available on a variety of colors. Here's an example of it on orange from a distance:

How about the large (above) log on the back. A small logo and Backcounrtypost (writing) on front right pocket area?

That's also something I considered. If you guys like that idea, 'like' Bob's comment! :)

I was also thinking I'd put a little BCP logo right below the neck on the back if we do the big design on the front.

Nick, how do you set up your design to send in? I need to make some tshirts with a design and line pics but how do I get them the pics like I want to them to print? Website? Local?

Awesome! All of my kids have similiar shirts for their graduating class, where all the kids in the class are listed similarly to your locations. On those shirts, the class names are on the back. Not sure it matters, but I think on the back it may get more eyes on it and then you add a subtle backcountrypost.com over the left breast. Then again, with backpackers a logo on the back will be covered with a pack 90% of time, so scratch that suggestion.

I wear tshirts without packs so logo on back is better for me... my time with pack on isn't great even when BPing

I created that design in Photoshop and I'll send it to the shirt printer in a PNG file. I might be able to help you. Shoot me a private message with the details.

I think I'm leaning toward the big design on the back and a small logo on the front. I'm actually pretty fond of more subtle front designs. Running into a fellow hiker with a little cairn on the front corner would still be easy to spot, and to be honest, I'm mostly excited to have wear around town shirts with this batch since we can choose cotton or synthetic.

@langutah - Sadly, it seems they don't have polos. :( I'll ask though.

Only interested in a polo also, have a bazillion t-shirts and like the sun and camera strap protection that a polo provides.

Looks like places that do polos charge a lot more for them, I had a couple made at VistaPrint but the shirt quality was poor.

Yeah, I hate VistaPrint with a passion. That's definitely one of those things that you get what you pay for. My usual print shop will do them but then it's back to the old system of handling all the orders internally which completely sucks. TeeSpring makes it just stupid easy and at a good price. Sucks they don't have polos though.

I'm very happy with my VistaPrint door magnets, vinyl banner and business cards, but all the clothing seems to be poor (I have hats, polos, t-shirts).

I would love if you could get them in a tall. I hate having my shirt ride up, plus it's not good for the person behind me.

Wondering if by synthetic you mean a dry-fit like material? Much prefer that to cotton if it's available.
