My wife and I have to make a quick trip to Lake Havasu City tomorrow to pick up some wheels and tires. We'll be staying in Kingman tomorrow night and thought we might come back through Flagstaff/Page/Kanab on Saturday. Is there anything along that route that is a must-see while we're there?

We spent a day in the Kanab area in January, my wife and kids really enjoyed taking the tour at the Best Friends animal sanctuary, the scale of that operation is huge. I gave it a miss and did a quick visit to Peek-a-boo / Red slot canyon which is definitely nice, though not necessarily exceptional. We also walked up to the dinosaur track on a ridge overlooking US 89. Maps for both of these things plus some other stuff are here:

A few photos here, all the ones that aren't from the Zion east side are from Kanab area:

Lots of good stuff between Page and Kanab. Will you have 4WD?

Some options:
Rimrock Hoodoos
Wire Pass
Stud Horse Point
Wiregrass Canyon
Yellow Dome

Yes, 4WD but not sure my cargo would let me do too much bouncing around :( I'll definitely look into those though. Thanks!

Looks interesting! Thanks!

Nice drive down to Lee's Ferry from 89 between Page and Kanab. You'll pass the parking lot for Wire Pass as well as the Wave. I would spend some time in Buckskin if I was in the area via Wire Pass. Wave permits are pretty much impossible.

Also, There is a big California Condor reserve on the Arizona side of the road.
