Bob i can't stop looking at these threads but they do torment me. Really want to spend more time up Slough Creek. I'm a fly fisher as well as a backpacker so this creek has major appeal.

Did you have to get any backcountry permits to do this one? Looks like you can get from Slough Creek TH to the park boundary in about 10-11 miles.

Yes some nites had park oermits

Yes..... A cinnamon black bear. She was agitated after we backed away down the hill. One of eight bears that trip

I was going to say something to the same effect until I saw this last comment. Haha. Sure looks like a red-packed Joey to me. How's he doing these days anyway, @Bob? Seems to be doing well enough by the looks of his videos he keeps rolling out from time to time.
