What did you buy today?

First time ever? Or in MT?
Well, technically it was my second time ever, first time in Montana. My first time was when I was 12 when I went to Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. I don't really count that one though because I have very little recollection of it other than when I crashed and got laughed at by a girl who was probably 6-8 years old. Haha. Definitely not enough memory of it to have been of any assistance to me at Big Sky. My frequent XCD skiing kind of helped though.

That Aspen dump is almost a reason to go to Aspen...

I finally broke down and spent the $ on an avy bag instead of skiing with a pack full of high hopes and optimism. We have a Black Diamond outlet in my town so that softened the blow some. Cheaper than a funeral either way!

That's a big purchase. Amazes me how much those suckers cost, but like you said, cheaper than a funeral. Probably cheaper than the cheapest casket you can buy also, unless you just get buried in a cardboard box.

Avy bag doesnt guarantee you won't get killed in avalanches.... Only that they might help you out some.

Still cracks me up that someone on BCP has skied at Perfect North. After my CO skiing fail a couple years ago, I bought a season pass at Perfect North to try to learn to ski. Still working on it :) But, I wish there was something bigger a little bit closer to Lexington.

Oh man, I just bought another camera lens - second one this month. A Canon 70-200 and a 100 macro. I did sell my 100-400 to help pay for it (too heavy), but I'm going to have to start a gofundme to have rice for dinner - or go eat at @scatman's place, but he'd probably say I could take photos of the food but not have any.

@Rockskipper, you are always welcome at the Scatman home. It's messy, but it feels lived in. So if you can handle that, then stop on by. Not only will I let you take pictures of the food, you can help cook it and eat it. :) What a deal!

How's about a hundred gallons or so of nice filtered water? And some sugar cubes would be really great.

ETA: If I ever change my avatar, these posts are going to be really strange (stranger?).

I guess that just means that you can't change your avatar, unless it is to another mule that is.

I don't have a filter, but I've calculated that it would take me approximately 800 minutes to purify 100 gallons with my Steripen. You might need to lend me some cash for extra batteries to accomplish the job though. :)

OK, as long as you pay it back. :)
