This from a post on Yosemite News and Discussion group by someone who is very familiar with the park and its staff:
"Convoys are meeting at El Cap Meadow at 1100am and 1200pm for Wawona exit. May also exit via Crane Flat to Tioga Pass only (this route is dependent on fire behavior and could close at any moment). Must leave the valley by 1200pm today."
Very sad news.

Wow, scary. I read yesterday that the old Wawona Lodge (called something else now) was in danger.

It would be very sad to see Yosemite burn.

Yeah it has been horrible to hear and see. I had lots of plans to hike there this summer and fall, it will be heartbreaking to see all the destruction of the fire.
The air has been horrible where I live and today especially, I can smell the smoke (maybe my imagination).
I am really concerned about the Carr fire. It is close to Trinity Alps Wilderness, which is my favorite. :( It has already destroyed so many homes and taken 7 lives. Bleh...CA on fire.
