I'm not going to set a goal. Just like every year, I'll get what I get and be glad to get it :D.

I already know it's going to be LESS this year though. My son will be going off to college in the fall and I'm already sweating the budget. My gas money for play time is going to be tigh-tight-TIGHT this year! Not to mention, I anticipate lots of weekends next fall and winter spent helping him find a place to live and move and with whatever. Or staying home when he comes to visit.

Bottom line, I doubt I'll get even 40 nights this year.

Yeah, maybe we will give Doug a run for his money this year. Course when empty nest syndrome kicks in he may bury us all in 2014 ;). I have always has been better for me to set a goal to help offset apathy and get my arse off the couch. Kind of like a New Year's Revolution but different. "I hereby resolve to sleep out on the ground more next year instead of spending more time in my cubicle or in front of the tube or on the 10 new hobbies I have queued up for when I can't walk anymore." (sorry, Nick )

I'm setting a goal : 1

It's been almost 4 years since I spent a night in a tent and even then we had a queen size inflatable mattress! This year, Biff willing, I will be out under the stars several times.

LOL! I love your 1/2 night!!!!! :twothumbs: I read the total was wondering how the crap you got a 1/2 night in and was thinking it was New Years Eve or something.
 
I did a loose count, and I got at least 17 nights. It was a good year.

I spent almost a month in Europe too :)

I hope for that much or more this year too.
 
I am 63 and the hay days of my backpacking seem like another lifetime. Longest trips were 30 days each way back in the late 70's.
