Had a great weekend at Allsop Lake and ran into @neiloro at the trailhead. He was hiking to Priord Lake with a friend, so we hiked together to the trail split. Go BCP!

I was kind of planning to avoid Powell in July and August due to potential crowds and oppressive heat. What a bad idea that was. Just got back from a 5-day birthday trip of pure bliss out there. 100 degrees with 80 degree water with the monsoons firing up and providing plenty of awesome sunsets and sunrises. Yum. :cool:

Woohoo, my first night out for the year. :( This is kind of embracing.

A good friend and I spent the night at Ruth Lake. Not too many crowds considering it was a weekend. He had brain surgery two years ago and still struggles a bit with controlling his right leg, so it had to be something relatively easy, Ruth lake fit the bill nicely. Plus wow, it really is a nice area, no wonder it's so busy.
 
Just got 6 bag nights out of 12 on a long road trip, so I thought I'd add them up.
