Got to escape for a spontaneous quick little overnighter to take the new TarpTent out on its maiden voyage. Got to love having Tuesdays/Wednesdays off every other month. While there was still a good crowd up here with the trailhead pretty much full, it was only a fraction of what is often seen on weekends.

I've been MIA from BCP for a while. Far too many life changes in far too short a period of time. I've still been getting outdoors, just not sharing my adventures. Time to get back on board! No pictures for this post, just a summary of my bag nights so far.

Feb. 17th-20th: 3 nights, Colorado National Monument, Sand Flats Recreation Area
Mar. 11th-12th: 1 night, (first backpack with my son), Negro Bill Canyon
Mar. 17th - 19th: 2 nights, Upper Muley Twist
Mar. 31st - Apr. 2nd: 2 nights, Big Dominguez Canyon
Apr. 13th-16th: 3 nights, Fence Canyon (Escalante River) with @Yvonne

11 nights total

Not sure if this counts but my Son, two of his friends, and I backpacked up American Fork canyon December 29, 30th, and 31st. We started hike in Tibble Fork and camped at Holeman Flats. Had a great time. For safety we bring two sleeping bags but on this trip the -20 degree down bags were more than sufficient.
