Death Hollow

My friends and I are planning on going to Death Hollow in June. We will get to the trailhead late at night camp there, and then hike in the next morning. We plan on spending two nights in Death Hollow. Do you guys recommend doing Death Hollow via a round trip or parking a car at a different exit and doing a thru trip? What's the mileage for the different options? I've done it via the sneak option once.

You'll hit it in Sand Creek after about 3 miles, then again in Death Hollow after about 7 miles. There's a trail guide for that route in the Trail Guides section of the site.
