This little guy is looking back at me like ' Yeah, I know I am cool'. Haha

Its eye reminds me of a chameleon!

some fresh big kitty tracks I saw this morning on my hike on the Connector Trail on Kolob Terrace. There are also four carcasses off trail in several areas, so a lot of mountain lion food. Very rewarding 13.5-mile hike today.

while visiting home, I was also on the search for more Pele's hair.
Luckily, there is still a lot out in the field.
Pele's hair is volcanic glass, that cooled rapidly and is carried by the wind and elongated into long hair-like golden strands.
Some of these can be several feet long.
